Abbie knows just how hard parenting can get. She wants to be your assistant.

Abbie Lara has lived in the Reno-Tahoe area since 2007 and has contributed to the community as a Credentialed Elementary Teacher, Licensed Preschool Center Director/Owner, and is also a mother. She is passionate about helping parents give their children the best opportunities possible.

She is skilled in Parent Coaching, Parent-Toddler Classes, Parent-Infant Classes, Tutoring, Childcare, Organization. Check out the current Parent-Child classes she offers in the area.

Abbie’s Bio

As a teacher with 20 years of experience teaching toddlers, preschoolers, and kindergarteners, Abbie understands the languages of children. She is passionate about teaching the whole child and creating a nurturing learning experience. Abbie partners with many parents of young children, sharing the goal of parenting with presence.

She holds a California credential in Elementary Teaching and a Child Development Director Permit. She has completed the RIE® Foundations: Theory and Observation course and is currently completing her RIE® Practicum.

Abbie received the Linda Brown Fellows Award through the Tahoe Truckee Excellence in Education Foundation for her contribution at Kings Beach Elementary School, where she taught kindergarten as a Spanish Immersion Teacher.

Abbie continues her education through ongoing professional development opportunities, observation, and reflection. She is passionate about sharing her expertise in classes, workshops, and coaching sessions that directly benefit both child and parent.
